W6 r2 done and I've made friends with the Geese.

Damp and rainy this morning - which was a pleasant enough change from the heat of the last few weeks. The Geese came to see me as I chugged past them, not honking this time, just inquisitive - must be becoming a familiar sight . Roads much busier - but most of the drivers were polite enough to move over, which is good as I have absolutely no pavement on my course and have to run on the edge of the road. Wasn't thrilled as the alarm went off this morning - but determined to stay the course. Pace was faster today - not intentionally so, was going my usual steady jog, so either my stride is lengthening or my comfortable pace is getting slightly faster. Only 10 runs left now - so starting to consider what to do after week 9 (aiming to not get stuck "practising" any sessions) - want to continue the steady progress. I have a 5k target in mind - but working up to entering - not quite brave enough yet.

Well see you all on Friday - 25mins here I come.

Great progress and those geese are watching you...

The C25K staff have nature's watchdogs all around, that blackbird you pass - he's watching your progress. The bunny hopping away, just doing a quick check to see you're happy today.

The road running and lack of pavements I sympathise, juggernaut dodging ain't fun. I try and do running karma, by always smiling and putting my hands up to people who are nice to me. So keep on you are doing really well and Friday has your name on it!

Thanks JCR - Looking forward to it - I always wondered about the Blackbird - he looked kind of shifty - I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I have to report the loss of your Hedgehog observer - unfortunately he was watching the runners - and not the juggernaut. He'll be missed.

Ooh in Italy, we have porcupines (seriously I thought the locals were taking the mickey) they will be upset about the loss of Henry (Enrico). Luckily I still have the ever-watchful Carlo the Cinghiale , although I am thinking his number is up shortly as hunting season begins 1 September. Hope Friday is a happy run!
