My Farah Mo

My today's weekly tempo run pushed me further than before, clocked in 5k in 25.57, made me feel as if I'm in a Farah moment lol. I knew I started faster and also knew that come the 3km line there would be price to pay and so there was. As my cylinders were emptying one by one, at one stage l wasn't sure if l should get sick or faint, or both, why not :) Anyhow, l finished, dazed and battered, but finished nevertheless ;) Thank God there's an 'easy run' on Monday. How do you guys cope when pushed to the limit? I was too 'proud' to stop and knew l could do it, regardless of how tough it got, but how do you know if you should just stop? I had a feeling that l would simply know when enough was enough. Was l wrong?

Well done! I had a similar experience at parkrun today! Another 32 seconds off! I usually know to stop when I feel pain, not lactic acid pain from running but pain saying I'm injured. I try not to mess around with that kind of pain and cut the run short even if its nothing too bad. Missing 1 training run wont be as bad as being on IC for a few weeks. Other than that watch your weekly mileage and mileage on any single run. Listen to your body and treat rest days as part of the training.

You've graduated so 25 mins running is fine ;) and a very good 5k time!

Cheers! Thankfully there was no pain anywhere, no wobbles, simply exhaustion as that's pretty much my limit at the moment.

Great time...well done you... I am not sure how to advise or comment as I have never pushed that hard...:)

Slow snail :)

Brilliant time sounds like a fab run too, despite the nausea. Hope Monday is a little kinder, p.s. Lucifers brother is visiting, back up to 35....
