Anyone recommend any lightweight running shoes please I am more of a slow jog than a runner :)

A lot of us here are too... yet I would still recommend getting proper gait analysis for decent shoes that are fitted....

Hey heartless, the gait analysis is really useful regardless of which shoe type you prefer, because it highlights your run style and you may find that lightweight may not work for you. Because your feet are your body's foundations (as my mega running mate tells me), it's best to get the advice so you don't mess up your feet. Personally I find my Brooks are quite light, but my choice was limited as my feet are quite wide and I do need ankle support...

Our local sports direct has a running cabin for gait check etc then they have lots of choice on shoes with some good prices, I got a pair of adidas for £31 which I thought was quite reasonable
