Filtering oxygen from thick air

Today I finished week 6 :D Yupi!!!

For this 25 minute continuous run I chose the concrete/pavement route. I decided to go alone without my furry friend.

I gave myself 15 min after work to catch some breath, change clothes, and charge my mobile. After some warm up at home and on the street, followed by curious looks, off I went. First, just concentrate on beathing: breath in , 2, 3, breath out, 2, 3. Thinking OMG it's hard! The air is so thick I can cut it with knife. My chemically-trained brain decided to switch my focus on filtering oxygen from this supposed-to-be-air soup. After my heavy breathing stabilised. Then think: just to this crossroad, then just to the traffic lights, just to the pub, just to the turn, just to the Sainsbury's... Cursing myself for choosing the route so close to the roads and cars. But my legs were surprisingly following one after another, breathing managed to give me enough oxygen not to think that my place is somewhere on the cementery that I was passing by. When Laura told me only 60 seconds left, and to consider pushing a little more for that last minute, I said why not, and increase pace mainly by making longer steps and more dynamic arm movement. I felt like a Wonder Women! Finished with my face in glorious Ferrari Red shade and a big smile :D Although I was proud when Laura told me that I am officially a Runner, I knew it and I didn't need to hear it that one time ;)

The running gods are still with me. The rain came in the middle of my stretch at home. So the only water on me was my own shiny sweat.

The prayers have been listened. I smashed that run despite lack of air in the air :)

Believe in yourself! Believe in the progress you're doing in this programme! Run, and smile, and be happy!

Enjoy your runs and rest days!

There are no dimonds without some serious pressure ;) I kind of cannot wait tomorrow to see if it will be difficult or easy run - I am very curious.

Oh wow! I loke that: Running Ninjas :D Should we dress all black and take our swards for graduation run? Unless it's your regular outfit ;)

In Italy black would be suicidal, they'd never see me on the riads So you can be the stealth ninja in black, I have to be the fluoro ninja for my own safety.... but swords mmm there's a thought
