I have just completed run 1 week 4, I'm amazed at how enjoyable it was, also hard to come to terms with the fact that I can run for 5 minutes, this programme and community is incredible.

Well done Martin. Did you run anywhere exciting? I'm debating for tonight whether to do the same as the last 4 and head towards the park then up to Manchester Rd, as that downhill on Hilton Lane is a joy. Or the other option is down to Ellenbrook and back. But the back is a constant incline, albeit not as steep as the incline up to walkden from the park!

Hi MrsT, I did my usual run along the A6, I think I need to change my route, I think I will try down the bankings to Walkden park.

Yeah the A6 can be a bit ugly in parts compared to the banking. I feel limited in terms of all the big roads to cross sometimes. I don't want to hit one in the middle of a run and have to stop for too long. The banking are good now they've done all the surfacing. I'm just nervous going down there alone after that woman was attacked a few months ago on Bedford field. Saying that, they've out a path through there now too which I have used.

Well done Martin it's lovely to read how enjoyable you are finding it. The community is you so you're a fab person doing it and participating.

Congratulations Martin! I'm at the same point as you and also posted my shock at having ran for 5 mins yesterday! Maybe Week 4 is an 'epiphany week' where you realise you are capable of doing it after all! Best of luck with the rest of the week :)
