Well that's the definition of self conscious. I have got used to walking in my running shorts on the suburban roads near home. But today's warm up walk took me through the centre of Glasgow at 5pm. Rather crowded and not a lot of people in shorts!
When I got to the river the Clyde Walkway was a perfect flat not too crowded space to run. Legs were still aching after walking up a very steep fell in Lancashire on Sunday. Not been able to run for 10 days.
But it was fine. 30 minutes stopping only for road crossing. Lungs, legs and knees all fine. Then just the 10 minutes walk back through the crowds as face turned from nuclear fusion, to deep beetroot to overripe raspberry.
I'm happy to be back. Next run will be in Oban or on mull.
