Wk 7 Knee problem

Just finished week 7. No problem with the running but the last two runs my right knee has been so painful that I couldn't put my foot down and I have had to stop running for a couple of minutes and then try again. After two or three try's it does eventually get better. Do I rest a few days or do I keep running? I have had problems on and off with it and had it x rayed and there is nothing physically wrong showing but I don't want to make it worse. Could now run longer than 25 mins if that didn't hurt!!

It does happen often with new runners, my wife had it on w4, rested for some days pain faded and was able to carry on. Don't try and run through pain restup it won't hurt your fitness. You may consider doing leg excercises to strengthen the muscles around the knee..well done on getting to w7..
