Hi all,
I’ve been following the forums on here for a while and have to say it’s very inspiring to hear everyone's stories – so thank you so much for picking me up in the times I've struggled with this!
I was a bit of a couch potato before I started this course. I got to week 4 first time round before getting a foot injury and having to restart all over again. I’ve been making good progress this time and to be honest I can’t believe that I’ve come so far. I never thought there was a runner in me, but it’s a great achievement to tick off the different runs week by week
However I’ve just completed week 7 run 3 and – well, I’m a little nervous! I’d been doing ok this week and even though the runs were hard, I finished them and felt good about it. This morning though I badly struggled in the last 5-10 minutes, and afterwards had to actually sit down for a good while afterwards because I felt like I was about to be sick.
Now I’m feeling very nervous about pushing myself onto 28 minutes. I haven’t felt that ‘sick’ feeling since the very early days of the programme, and now I’m very worried about how I’ll cope with the extra time.
Has anyone else out there suffered this kind of sudden setback? I was fairly confident about finishing the programme (albeit with difficulty) but this has really thrown me.
I would appreciate anyone’s thoughts
