In preparation for wk5 run1, today I stepped up my pace and lengthen my stride a bit on all the runs, so my calfs got more of a stretch, it felt better and my calfs didn't hurt as much towards the end, but on the flip side I felt more tired on the last 5min run.
Now I'm ready for wk5 run1 π¬π¬

Lengthening your stride is a risky business. It is more likely to cause heel strike which in turn often leads to knee trouble. If it feels okay, then it may work for you, but it is generally accepted that the best way for a new runner to speed up is to increase cadence.
