Lack of sleep but begin W4 tonight.

Fitbit has recorded 4hrs 29m of sleep but tbh I don't think any of it was quality. Couldn't get comfy all night and can't even blame the baby. Looking at W4R1 for later and I've no idea how I'll manage it after a full day at work, food shopping, collecting baby from nursery and a parcel from the parents 😬😬 been awake for over an hour now but need to get up for work.

Any tips? 😩😴😴😴

Ok here we go, she says having just had loads of sleep and no baby, parcel collection, or other issues to deal with ( I am a fully paid up member of Hypocrites Anonymous!)

Week 4 is like the others before, it is a progression but one you can do, because your body has been training for it. Now your head and heart matter most today, so if you are really shattered take an extra rest day, it isn't going to compromise your fitness or ability. If however you have that itchy feeling in your feet, then go for it. Take it slow like Oldfloss always says, and there will be loads of us behind you on that run. Go slower than you did before and you'll do it I promise. And besides which there's the incentive of Β£1 a km going into the running kit piggy bank to think of. Best of luck whether you do it today or another one.

Thanks Jan. You know I should really add a Β£1 per mile walked via my Fitbit too as I've tracked 14 miles this weekend as didn't use the car once. πŸ™ˆ

It's funny how at the start of each new running week it seems so daunting but I've managed so far. But this seems like the biggest jump yet with 16 mins of running in total. Thank you for your words of wisdom.

There you go this running kit fund is beginning to look like it could pay for a top to toe outfit oh and a night nurse for one glorious nights sleep for you. Best of luck I am heading out soon too.

Well... get up for work first :)

Phew... I am tired just reading your schedule! Go you!

So... tips.. well, Hidden has given you my main tip.. slowly:)

But... turn this day round and use it... all day, whatever it throws at you, you know that at the end of it, you have got a small niche of time..just for you, to relax and enjoy a gentle winding down run. Buy some yummy treats, healthy of course, give baba an extra cuddle, open that parcel and then head out :)

Warm up walk and then, as slow as you like, let the tensions of the day, trickle out through your feet, and leave it behind, shake out your shoulders and hands, and relax your face... put on a smile and just go. You are ready for this... have confidence and know you are going to do it!

I am off out right now and will watch for your post later :) x

The parcel is extra special as it is a box of lovely food from Gousto. The food shop is mostly for the kids and treats πŸ˜€ 'Ill keep all that in mind. Thank you. Hopefully there will be something interesting on my run for me to write my post in my head as I'm running.

Look at it as a reward to yourself. It will be your time away from work, parcels. Phone ringing and babies,. Your half an hour to do what you want. You can do it . Be selfish and enjoy.

Thank you. Isn't it weird how we can see running as a treat? I love this program.

Ironically running can be therapeutic in these circumstances. Off you go! And you may well sleep better for it.

Right so that is work done βœ…. I stayed awake amazingly. Baby collection done by husband as I'm late. Food shop in 30 miles time, then package collection and home for my run. Loooooong day.
