Wk 1 finished. Feeling pleased but sore.

Just finished must shower but pleased with myself. At the end of my 6th run my right hamstring tightened up and felt a bit sore. I continued and finished the next two and although I can feel it I am sure after a two day break it will be fine

Brilliant. Well done on finishing week 1. A bit sore is probably fine. Are you stretching? Makes a big difference. But aches and niggles are normal (even after graduation as I am finding). As long as it's not pain it's just exercise your body is not used to. Make sure you don't run too fast as well - that makes things ache more.

Enjoy week 2.

Morning after feeling fine really just my age. I am stretching and warming down after although that is really just a walk which gets slower and includes some stretches in it.

Well done for getting started :)

Just make sure you listen to your body and if it doesn't feel ready in a couple of days, then an extra days rest won't matter in the long term.

Well done you and welcome to the club. I aspire to be a graduate like Hidden and CookieM - their advice is really sound. One day I hope to join them and one day you will too. rolysmate is ahead of me and joining them sooner. But you've just done the best thing ever, you joined and you started and then you finished the first week. Truly that's the hard part. Take an extra days rest if you need and enjoy being part of the best running club in the world

Look to do some additional stretching before your warm up walk and after you've finished
