I was doing well and had completed W6R1. I then had commitments over the weekend and was away from home, so did not run. Then Tuesday I had a general anaesthetic for a small op. I did swim last night but only 1k and am still planning to do the Henley Club to Pub swim (henleyswim.com/events/club-... tomorrow (I wasn't meant to swim so soon but doctors are naughty patients).
However I have decided not to run today. I don't feel I am making excuses at this stage but may ask for a kick if the feeling continues next week (I am going to Wales at the end of next week for another swim).
Perhaps if I don't reappear posting here, those following me can make me feel guilty and get me going again

Ty. Plan is to have done W7 R2 by the time I get the biopsy result (9th Aug). I have no more swims planned after next weekend so need that focus. I am quite sure that I won't give up with "only 2 weeks to go".
No! You won't give up will you wabit! We'll be watching you!π
Wish I could swim like you, but in the pool, my efforts are a bit hit n miss with swimming, have heard running can improve swimming, I'll have to give it another goπ
I am pretty good at all that having been able to swim since school, but nerve's can get best if me especially in deep water. Thanks for the advice nikki..
I think it's ok, well, more than ok really to take a break after an operation, and a general anaesthetic. It's not like you're not doing any exercise, swimming is just as valid as running. Enjoy your club to pub swim, I've just Googled your event, it looks fab!
Am sending you gentle nudges to keep positive & not give up. I'm quite placid really so I'm sure they won't turn into kicks! Seriously, hope the biopsy results are ok & good luck with the swim. π
