Completed Run 1 Week 2 in the pouring rain on Tuesday so I'm hoping for improved weather tonight. I managed the step up from week 1 ok but didn't actually cover any further distance so maybe my running slowed down. I can't imagine what big jumps there must be in the coming weeks to get to continuous running by the end. I am not looking at the programme in case I frighten myself!

Well done on starting out and for doing a rainy run (I have still managed to miss a rainy run for quite a while!). You are probably best just taking one run at a time, trust the fact that you are building up your stamina in order to complete each run which obviously do get longer as you progress.
Don't worry about the distance covered with each run, you should just concentrate on the time at the moment. You can then build on speed and distance once you have graduated.
Sound advice from SC1472. The programme is amazing and it takes you up in carefully graded steps. So none of the new challenges are easy, but they are all doable. Keep dropping in here for encouragement and advice
Hey there, slow runs are cool runs - they keep you on track. Nothing worse than going at it like a demon possessed and finding you overcooked it. I'll swap you 35 degrees of unrelenting sun, for one run with rain... keep at it, you're doing fab
