Hi there, for those who know me the title is very apt for me at the moment, but I know I'm not alone with the heat and those on the IC many of us can empathise with the title and for those running regularly and training for events it fits for you too, may we all be back running together soon.
Welcome to Week 4 Hope youre all doing okay.
What the quest is:-
The quest takes six weeks.
You can join any time within that six weeks.
The main aim of the quest is to help you find a focus or goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the Quest period.
We ask that you are a graduate . The main reason we ask this is that while you are doing the program your plan is very structured, so we wouldn't want the quest to interfere with that.
Most popular goals are:-
To run three times a week
To slowly increase distance
To train for a specific race
To add In Stretch and strength exercises
As you can see they are personal to yourself and it's totally your own choice.
Every week I will pin a new post where all the members of the quest can talk about how things are going
.
So if you wanted to join all you have to do is put
I would like to join the quest, or count me in and then I would like to. ..............
Your name will be added for the duration of the Quest.
Good Luck everybody !

Still running, woohooo, I am finding fitting in everything very hard at the moment. I have additional exercises to fit in as well as my running. Pilates and core work is taking 2 hours every week and MrRfc is enjoying going for long walks, so we go together. I am sure there will have to be some jiggling around to make sure I get everything fitted in,at the moment I'm just fitting in a quick swimafter Pilates but would like to build up to a bigger swim and obviously as I get nearer to November I will have to be upping my running distances.
Take care Realfoodieclub ! Make sure there's some life in between the fitness you are rebuilding for it (I know the long walks with your beloved definitely count)
First run of the week done. I have decided to stick to 30+ mins at the moment while its so hot and introduce the B210k when the weather is more comfortable.
That said I felt strong on my run this morning and could have gone further but ran out of course π (i know how to fix this, but think 30 is fine and stamina building.. )
Hello, please can I join, however late I am? Can't believe I missed so much of a Quest
I have set myself a plan because I do better with a structure to follow. I started with a Bupa plan but it wasn't working out too well - I had to run 4 times a week and I was knackered! I've tentatively switched over to MyAsics again so you will no doubt hear me grumbling about that over the next weeks
I keep saying that I must do some more core work but it never happens. I need to work out why not.
Happy running to all those who can, and a swift recovery to those on the IC or who are struggling in other ways x
Welcome onboard, of course you can join we don't have time limits on when you can join. You know me flexible, hehe we at least on the forum not on my stretches as Pilates has proved. π I have found having to go to two classes a week has forced me In to my core work. I am going to keep up the habit. My brain seems to kick and scream all the way there and I don't look forward to it but because it comes with my gym membership you get penalised if you don't go to a booked class and you have to book a week in advance so it means I don't back out sort of thing. I think that is the only way I will keep up with it. I must admit I'm a two times a week runner, I just dontt have the time for three never mind four.
