Tracking my runs - any advice!

I have joined a running club now....yes me who couldn't believe they would finish C25K last year... And now running 3 times a week.....doing first 5K run on Saturday... After all the injuries and illness I never thought I'd get there but I have 😎

Anyway, I like to track my runs on my phone, but recently I have had trouble with with my phone I think I am knocking it when trying to put it in my pocket so I find at the end it's not recorded it! I am looking to get an armband or waist belt case for the phone, by but want one that I know will stay put. I wondered if anyone can advise on the best makes etc... I am a larger lady so am not sure what's best to use... Would value your advice.

Thanks

I usually prefer to hold my phone in my hand but if I use an armband I've found the sports direct one is the best. I had a more expensive one before that that chafed something rotten and then fell to pieces so you necessarily have to spend much.

Thanks I would hold my phone but I also like to carry water so I find it awkward will look at the sports direct one - thank you

I got mine from Amazon with a wide elasticated velcro band and plastic clear screen. Easy to adjust and keeps it dry when it rains.

Definitely go for a cheap armband with a Velcro adjustable strap (fits my bingo wings!). I used to run holding my phone & despite having a case for it, I once got into a tangle taking off a top with slightly sweaty hands & dropped it. Of course it didn't land on the protective case side and smashed the screen. Luckily only Β£30 to repair & not an expensive phone but annoying & inconvenient!

Thanks I'm going to town today to see what I can find locally that will fit my huge arm! 😁

I don't like the armband ones as I have huge bingo wings πŸ˜• so I keep mine in a small waist band type thing - a bit like a bum bag. It's elasticated and zip up the pouch is mad from a waterproof Lycra material. Works really well πŸ‘πŸΌ

I considered the waist style but wondered if they felt s not bulky and made you too hot - as a larger lady I'm not sure what's best but will look at this option too πŸ˜‚πŸ‘

I am definitely a larger lady 😬

I feel like it keeps everything nipped in at the waist (need all the help I can get there!) I also sweat a lot but I don't think it makes it any worse tbh. I reckon only about 5 or 6cm wide but quite stretchy so can hold my iPhone 6 and a key.

I got mines from Tesco work perfectly but on days I don't feel like wearing it I wear running leggings that fit my phone in the back pocket bit I think sports direct sell a few like that
