Week 8 Run 1 completed yesterday. Yesterday I also noticed that my legs felt a bit thinner. This morning my belly (huge sugar baby belly) also feels a bit less. Last night my brain told me when I'd had enough to eat (a first) and this morning I stepped on the scales and noticed a few pounds have dropped.
As someone who could do with losing four or five stones I am praying that this is the start of some weight loss. I am making healthier food choices because I really notice how food makes me feel, particularly on a run.
Fingers crossed for this positive effect. πππ»πππ»π

Excellent! Generally the program tones you up rather than causes you to lose weight, but you are right, it does start to change the choices you make and those 2 things together can make a big difference! Keep it up, now you have started, things will only get better
It appears patience is the key. I was all ready to declare that running did nothing for my weight and perhaps it's too soon to declare it a miracle cure but I do feel good. π
The benefits can be unexpected, look out. I started C25k 10weeks ago after nearly five decades believing I was " allergic" to running. I wasn't over weight and didn't really expect to see much change ( but you can't help hoping!). My teenage daughters ( ever the source of " tell it how it is" honesty) started to comment on my bum. Now I should say, that I never really hated it, it was just there and I got on with life. Looking in the mirror yesterday, I decided that it looked like my old bum, but it was wearing the rear end equivalent of a bra!! Seriously, it looked like the same stuff had been lifted up a couple of inches. I like itπππ
Well done getting to week 8, see you at the finish line next week!!ππΌππΌππΌπ₯π₯
I think the exercise and the better diet naturally go together. I found that by doing exercise I was automatically veering towards the food choices which complemented the work I was putting in.
If I have just worked myself to near exhaustion running 5k then the last thing I am going to do it throw it all away by eating a load of c**p.
