W5R3 and tears

I am sitting in a state of utter disbelief that I just managed to run for 20 whole minutes without stopping!

I was so nervous about this run that I woke up with butterflies and really thought it would take me more than one attempt to crack it. The first half felt tougher than the second, to the point that I was certain I wouldn't make it after the first 5 minutes.

I was so elated when I finished that I burst into tears and I'm pretty sure I'll be on the ceiling all day! 5 weeks ago I could barely run for a minute at a time, this programme is amazing!

So so happy!!!

You are a real inspiration, Pizzola. I've just done w5 r2 for the 5th time (slightly extending the runs so I actually completed 17 1/2 minutes running time) and am bracing myself for what you have done. Maybe at the weekend I'll give it a go.

Your story gives me conviction that I can do it.

Brilliant - well done.

Well done. Now dispel all those fears and approach the rest of the plan with belief and confidence.

Well done :) Tears of happiness - that's great

And thanks for the "The first half felt tougher than the second". As I feel the first bit of a swim is hardest I will try to remember this when I do the same run at the end of next week.

I too was excited by actually running 20 mins. When not long ago I struggled at 3 mins. Doing 5k now in 39 mins.
