I am very chuffed to say I have finished week nine, woop, woop!
I would also like to say a big thank you to all of you for the help and support on this forum, I am sure I would not have got here without you!
For those of you that struggle to fit in the runs or due to work or injury suspend and start again I would share my story. It has taken me just over two years to complete (terrible huh?). My first attempt finished at week four, a few gremlins, work commitments and a really bad case of CBA (Cant be arsed). The second attempt got me to week five but I failed to build on it and then worked away in London for six months and got out of the habit.
So this year, what was the difference? Well I turned 50, now or never I thought. even then its taken six months to finish due to gremlins, and one or two injuries (and a bit of CBA). But I have finished. I can now run for 30 minutes (wow). The big difference was week six, if you hit that then you can get to week nine, no problem. So if you sometimes feel you wont make it, slow down, keep going, dont worry if you dont manage it in nine weeks, keep trying!!
Needless to say I grinned like an idiot when Laura finally said the 30 minutes were up!
Thanks again all.
