Week 8 and hit 5k!

Hi guys, this is my very first post and my very first time of attempting to run (other than to desperate my kids from fighting!). My ultimate goal was to run a 5k park run at the end of week 9. I've struggled with every single session to date but have managed to complete them all so far. So today was week 8 run 2 and on the last run we tried it at the venue of the park run to see how far off target we were. Let me tell you, 28 minutes had me 2k short!!! Eeek. So today I ditched the app, knowing it would take me much longer than 28 minutes and went to see if I could complete my course. 43 minutes of solid running (snail pace) later we crossed the finish line! Well an imaginary one as it wasn't park run day hahaha. I never ever thought I could do this! I'll probably get in trouble for skipping ahead, but I'm so proud of myself! Ever since school I've not been able to run without vomiting and I've just done 43 minutes! 43 minutes!!!!! The moral of the story is, if this obese 38 year old can do it. You all can. So proud of each and every person giving this a go. We are all amazing 🏃😃 x
