Movin' on up...

Have just come back from my first run post-graduation, and in true C25K fashion, I've increased my running time by 2 minutes, from 30 minutes to 32. And it felt OK! :)

My cunning plan is to increase my runs by 2 minutes every week until I'm running 5K (I'm currently running 4K). Then I'll hang around there, or thereabouts, for several weeks/months until I start to get faster. I think I'll try some Parkruns too.

Anyone doing something similar? How's it going?

Thanks McFitty, I tried out running in the early morning to beat the heat, and it worked.

Sounds good to me. I've tried a couple of things but I think I'm going to go back to concentrating on increasing time.

I'm thinking along the same lines, Week 9 this coming week and I think I'm doing about 4.3 k ish in 28 mins so I'm thinking that equates to 32.5 ish for 5 k. So, after I finish Week 9, I plan to run three times a week, twice for 30 mins and once to finish 5 k. Also my undergraduate route has been pretty flat so I may experiment with inclines!!!
