Hello Folks,
Been a long while since I posted on here, thought it's about time I stopped by and said hello rather than just sit there and read posts when I get the chance.
I guess today's post is more of an inspirational one, both for myself and those who are also fasting or are struggling with the plan at the moment. Well as some might know already it's the month of Ramadan (fasting during daylight hours) and unlike last year, this year I decided to run!
Very long hours, at present it stands at approx. 18+ hours and yet I still find the runs rather pleasant. First I tried the local park but in all honesty, running in circles is not really my cup of tea so the ol' "Rocky Balbao" pound the streets came back into force. ** Parks are scenic roads are interesting **
I manage two runs a week (allowing for min. 3 days rest in between) and still manage between 4-5k , not pushing myself for any speed or a greater distance. Now lets see who can explain the next bit.... no pain!! I mean none at all!! No tired, stiff legs, etc. I was expecting at least some muscle pain but nada.
If you are determined to go for a run then pretty much nothing can stop you (apart from that bus you didn't see coming... ha ha ha ) , go for the run!!
We are all here to give you support, help, and advice.
Time for me to run now... i.e. go back and actually do some work.
Enjoy your weekend, your run, and above all enjoy life!!
