Hey, im a 5ft3 obese mother of 1! Half way through last year it actually hit me that im turning 30 and need to make a change! I downloaded myfitness pal after a few friends recommended it and it actually works for me. Ive now lost 2 1/2 stone in the last 12 months and got 2 more to go till im at my target, and now i feel is the time to try and get fit! Ive never been 1 for sport and always been really unfit but today even tho it killed me to just run for 60secs at a time i did it!!!!

Well done Sambella😊 Its a great plan that really works. Take the running sections nice and slow, follow the instructions and take your rest days and you will love it...

Good luck and keep posting, so we can cheer you on.😊

Hi, just to inspire you, I have a friend who has taken up a new fitness / weight loss regime and she has lost 4 stone. She is still overweight and has about another 4 stone to lose but thanks to c25k she can run for 5 miles now ! Puts me to shame ! xx like most of us she couldn't run for 60 secs at the start, so keep going !

Hello and welcome! Congratulations on your success so far, and well done on your first run!

Follow the programme 'as is' to avoid injury. Post here for encouragement, celebration, advice etc, we will be with you whenever you need us.

Dont eat anything additional because you are running. Equally dont expect to see any weight loss until you are running the longer runs regularly at least. But you will be getting fitter and more toned!

Enjoy and goodluck!

It's amazing that you are making this change - I wish I'd done it sooner. You and your child will both benefit so much from your efforts. They're only young once, and the fitter and healthier you are as a parent, the more you can do with them instead of just watching from the sidelines. Good for you, taking the bull by the horns. Enjoy it!
