Rest Days

I am about to start this and have read that you must have rest days between the 3 runs in the week. However I open water swim and need to this 3 times a week minimum as I am training for 2 swims in July. As I already do this, can that still count as rest days? As the swimming is open water, I do not really use my legs, so it is a different muscle group.

Rest days are from impact exercise, not swimming, so you will be fine.

What AF said. We don't run on rest days. But we don't, like, actually "rest". Good Lord no.

You will be fine :) I sometimes feel my rest days are busier and more strenuous than the run days... still fun though :)

You will be fine, many members use rest days as cross training days. Swimming and running compliment each other very well hence, the popularity of triathlons.
