Yesterday was my 2nd post grad run...decided to push on until I actually traveled 5k. Took me 46 minutes but I did it! I am registered to run in my first real 5k next month, am I going to finish last? I have no idea what the fastest and slowest times are in a race like this...can someone let me know?

You did really well Go you!!!!

There will be all sorts and all speeds.. fastest, slowest, first or last....( I do not think for a moment you will be last..there will be folk who walk it too).. does not matter... you do it at your pace and have a great time...there will be loads of replies about this I am sure.

Just keep consolidating those 30 minute runs, relaxed and enjoyable.. vary your distances and have fun for a while... then when you feel that are ready... give the C25K+ podcasts.

Great fun and super for running discipline and building up stamina and distance...but as ever..keep it slow and steady!

Depends on the particular race, but at ours we have anything from 16 minutes to around an hour. You'll be fine. You'll probably also run faster with excitement of running with a group.

But most importantly, have fun. Races are exciting.

Well done! I'm hoping to work up to actually running 5K now that I've graduated - no idea how long it'll take though.
