C25k and parkrun

Eeek have to share my excitement. W4r1 today incorporated into my local parkrun and I did it in 39.16 ... felt tired at some parts but pushed through. 6 weeks ago before starting the c25k I virtually walked it all and completed in 45 mins. I can't believe the progress and what this programme has done on my fitness. I'm super excited about my next run too as I go abroad tonight and plan on taking Laura with me lol. All the advice on here has helped keep me positive and move on to the next week. Thanks all

Good idea to pack Laura! Running somewhere new should be fun. Just go steady. Enjoy some swimming and a lovely bit of R and R πŸ™‚

Well done and great time. I have done the same thing. I started doing Park Run along with my training on C25K. I use the Park Run as a seperate challenge and just try to run a little more every time. I finished week 5 of C25K on Wednesday and ran a Parkrun this morning. Will start Week 6 Run 1 on Monday. I love Perk Run and find that it is a real mitivator to keeping the C25K plan going. Well done again.

Thankyou and well done to you too. Week five looks daunting well done for completing it. Parkruns are brilliant. Hopefully this programme will get me to running the full 5k at one that will be a day of celebration. Good luck next week πŸƒ

Parkrun is great and perfect if you can use it as one of your weekly runs, always sticking with the programme to avoid over use injury. Well done runner πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜€
