Measuring distance

How do I measure the distance of a run? Is there an easy app for this?

Strava is a decent app, gives you distance, pace etc

Strava, Endomondo, Runkeeper and Mapmyrun to name but four. Each have advantages/disadvantages. I use Runkeeper primarily, since it can be programmed with intervals. However I transfer all runs to Endomondo because it keeps track of PBs better than RK.

As a tight was, I have only used the free versions.

I use Mapmyrun. Does route, pace, distance time etc. Will call out every half k or every k etc, plays in the background so you can listen to your music etc, I just use the free version.
