On one of my rest days recently, I was on a walk with a friend when a runner went past us. I hadn't heard him come up from behind and I said to my friend how I wished I could run as silently as that. (People can hear me from a long way off and start making room for me when I'm still a mile away.) My friend said, 'What runner?' By then the runner was already out of sight and I wasn't even sure that he wasn't a figment of my imagination! How did he run so quietly?

Ghost runner...?
He was... a ghost ! It happens
Lay off the mushroom tea before running.
Yep! A ghost!👻😁 I've worked in many old buildings and places in my job, and never seen anything, but I remain open minded, I do know from from very reliable sources 2 people who have definitely seen ghosts. 👻👻
BTW.. stop wearing hobb nail boots when you run! They'd be enough to wake the dead!😂
That may have been me... Definitely sounds a lot like me 👣👣👣
I had actually been hoping for some tips on how to run as quietly as my ghost runner. I appreciate all your replies Oldfloss Rignold davelinks Whatsapp but apart from the advice to change out of my hobnail boots, I'm not sure your ideas are that practical... 😉
Seriously...I have seen runners, who seem to glide almost.. the trick is, to really try to land lightly isn't it... kissing the ground with your feet is an expression I just came across
I have been trying to do this more, lately,... hard through mud or on a pebbly beach..but it seems to be working on the fields
