Well done for getting out there, good luck for your next runs!
Well done! Run 1 of the rest of your life as they say....
Well done on getting started!
I've just done W2R1 and found it tough but the tougher the challenge the greater the satisfaction!!
Keep going 🏃🏼🏃🏼
😍
I call that feeling "nicely knackered" when I get back.😀
I'm only on week 4 but I tend to find the runs get more manageable ( note I didn't say easier!) as the week progresses, then the first of the next week is as tough as the first. I read that as progress, I felt about as tired doing 3 and 5 minute running segments this Monday as I did when I ran 60 sec segments in week 1. Hope that makes sense.
One other thing I've learned. The time to look ahead ( and not down) is when you are out running, jogging, shuffling etc. At all other times, at home, on this forum, in bed on your iPad, etc keep your eyes firmly on the here and now. One run at a time. Make sure you take the rest days, they are just as important as the run days for your muscles, tendons and bones to catch up with the demands you are placing on them. I use them to look smugly back at yesterday, last week or last year when I couldn't do what I can today.
The only other advice I have is run really slow and flat ( don't waste energy bouncing up and down) and keep posting. This forum is great for moaning, wingeing, blowing your own trumpet, asking for advice, infact pretty much anything.
Welcome and well done so far👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻👍🏼
Day one is the toughest. Bet nobody was scrambling to call an Ambulance when they saw you at the end like one lady in the Park was going to do when she saw the shape I was in
Slow and steady - I promise you, that will get you to Graduation and beyond
Well done. I'm on week 6. I'm totally surprised at what I'm doing compared to where I started. Keep it slow, take the test days and soon you'll be running twenty minutes straight. Honest!
