Running in gowns!

I haven't posted for a while and haven't even been lurking much but I did post some time back that when it got to my birthday I would do parkrun in a regency gown. So here I am, with my two lovely gal pals, in our regency kit. I am the old bat in the tartan ;) . I always run slowly, the gown didn't actually hold me up all that much. We got lots of positive comments as we trotted round. Xx

I think Shirl found the bonnet a bit of a nuisance when the breeze was in our faces, but it kept the sun off very effectively!

I was there!! My daughter and I ran and she did another pb on the new route. It was a lovely morning and a lovely run. I'm not sure I could run in a dress let alone a hat lol. Shortly after that park run I was back at the common doing a sprint race dressed in a cardboard car lol. I think that run pulled my knee, boo hoo.

Did you see us?! Sorry that you hurt your knee, I hope it recovers quickly. It was a lovely day for a run, and I like the new course. X

Yes, in fact my 7 year old spotted you all and asked why you were dressed like that! Now we know, happy birthday!

Thanks :) . We normally just dance dressed in costume when we are doing a display or are at a Ball. Running in them was fun. Your young ones are doing really well with running!

Wonderful! Old bats in tartan are good!

(I used to run in anything, including a long knitted skirt on narrow woodland paths)

How fabulous! Jane Austen would've been proud! Which era will it be for the next birthday?😊

She would indeed! Who knows what we will do next ;) . Maybe alien costumes, lol.

What a beautiful location! I'm aiming to do a Park Run at the end of the programme and hope I can find somewhere as lovely.

Well done!
