I have just completed my first run today and I pleased to say I only stopped to let sheep go passed. I try to go to the gym at least three times a week and I've signed up for a midnight walk in July. I've never been very good at running but I would love to sign up to the 5k Pretty Muddy challenge which is happening in October this year.

I'm wanting to do 5k pretty muddy in October too. I'm not a natural runner even when I was younger and less heavy I found it hard but I'm determined to get to at least 5k. :)

It looks like it will be so much fun and it's for such a good cause. How are you getting on with the app?

I really like the app and this group. I've just done week 1 run 3 and I think I'm going to do week 1 again before moving forward to week 2. I do see improvement since my first run but not enough to move on yet. How are you finding things so far?

I think I did ok today but I am a little nervous about moving on to the next level. I'll see how I get on for the next two runs. I might consider doing week 1 again though.

For me it doesn't really matter how long it takes to get there as long as I keep moving forward and keep improving :)

That's a very good way of looking at it :)

Welcome... :)

You sound to have made a great start and plans for the future too! So... slow and steady is the mantra on here. Follow the programme and take those rest days too.

There is so much support here, everyone has either been there, or is getting there :) Core strength exercises, or swimming or walking, whatever you fancy as other exercise on your rest days will all help!

Listen to your body and remember not too push too hard. The route to the Graduation podium should be fun and hopefully injury free :)

Keep posting too.. it is great motivation :)
