Knee & Calf pain

Sometimes I just need a swift kick up the backside! over the last week, I have had a niggling pain in my left knee on the medial side (the one on the inner side of my leg) then on Tuesday, after such a fab run, my left calf & Achilles tendon started whinging too. Oh flipping heck, I thought, the injury couch beckons but then, ta-da!! I remembered that I am a sports masseur & then I thought "what would I do if a client came with the same problem". Long story short - I assessed my leg, massaged my left quads & the pain in my knee improved. I then popped out this morning to buy a new electrical hand massager & treated my whole left leg, stretched all the muscles & voila!! A new me :) :) Having an extra rest day today & will be out tomorrow. Happy running everyone xx

lol, it's so easy to forget to look after ourselves and, so hard to take the advice we'd give to others! Glad you stopped and thought it through, and hope your legs behave now! ;)

Bride to be is still running & she joined the gym yesterday so she can run on a treadmill when it is raining & do weights & resistance training. Wedding plans coming along too & their new home is well on schedule for completion in the next few weeks. 😀😀

Just bought one of those hand held massagers for the OH but might just use it on myself after your testimony Dhinny

They are very useful, when I was massaging full time, I used to use them on clients. Using it on myself, J can apply massage pressure to areaslije my hamstrings, calf, etc that I couldn't with my hands.
