Every time I run I get a stitch after about 5 minutes. It's really annoying me ! I've tried pre hydrating and deep breaths but still getting one. Any tips? I've just finished week 7

Ouch.. First, slow down and exhale to release the stitch...try and regulate your breathing, like you would if you were swimming.. sort of matching your breathing to your pace? And, make sure you are properly warmed up before you head out :)

I was once told by a football coach that stitch is to do with air that is trapped. He told me to shout out a big HAAAAAAAAAA from the belly a couple of times and it helps to expel the air. I have used that method a couple of times and it has worked for me, but I get stitch a lot less now, in the beginning it was to do with me holding my breath while running because I was feeling nervous, I'm a much more relaxed runner these days.

That sounds great fun :) ( Not the stitch, obviously )...:(

I may just do that... even without stitch.. :) x

Breathe deeply in your belly as if you're blowing up a balloon. It always works for me.
