Hi everybody,

Please feel free to share your runs here and chat about how it's all going,

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week !

Did the first run of Week 5 this morning! It's a gorgeous day, and I felt pretty good - enough so that when my other half suggested a little bit of extra running at the end, I was happy to give it a go.

I think this time of year makes for perfect running in Spain.

I did parkrun on Saturday for the first time since 4th February. I have missed all those weeks due to a combination of being away from home with no time to run and being unwell, so my running has taken a definite back seat. I walked the whole way because my knee was hurting from dancing a step called the schottische on Thursday night - hopping madly like a Highland Fling, fine on right leg, hurt like billy-o on left, so no running on Saturday :( . It's feeling ok now so I hope to go for a little trot a couple of times this week.

Happy running, everyone :)

So far my training for the GNR is going ok. I have discovered that if I slow down I don't get too knackered and so have bought a metronome gadget to play that keeps me to a steady pace. I have also discovered that sometimes I actually enjoy it. And finally I have created my own plan and am building up slowly and steadily by .5 of a mile every week. So it won't be fast, but I'm only aiming to finish in under 3 hours so that's ok!

My knee has been feeling more sore again this week, for no apparent reason at all, so I decided not to try running today in the hope that it'll be feeling better for Saturday's 'race'. I had a nice long walk with the dogs and a friend instead. And as a bonus, she's apparently going to give me her Fitbit as she's really not fussed by it at all and would prefer a normal, cheap watch! Happy me!!! 😊

Hello all you runners out there.just thought I'd add a post. I've found that, for me, a 30 minute run every three days is most suitable and enjoyable. I have had a painful left knee after runs and today I noticed the knee decided to give me pain in half the time it was doing! I want to add perhaps an extra 5 minutes to my runs soon but to still be doing this run thing is amazing knowing the sort of person I am ( I normally get bored easily and give up on things by now! ) and so for now I just want to carry on with what I'm doing and enjoying it.

I began this c25k at the beginning of the year so I feel I have at least achieved something for myself this year so far! Today I ran along by the sea. The tide was low and breathing in the sea air mixed with aroma of the seaweed, the sunshine, pure joy!

I was thinking though that I should do something in between runs such as a bit of yoga to keep my old joints supple and not stiff.

What sort of things do you all do between runs?

I'm normally totally exhausted after a long shift at work to anything much but even if I do 30 mins of something at home in the evening it would be a good habit to start.

Not what you're looking for?
