Hi everyone, I started the program last year and got to around week 5 before I fell of the bandwagon. This time I'm determined to reach the 5k mark, any tips on keeping yourself motivated? And over coming the everyone's looking at me run? Thanks in advance.

I'm just on week 7 and between keeping it slow so I actually finish a run and this forum, I feel I can do it. This is my first time attempting to run in 30 years.

I run on a treadmill but when out for a walk yesterday I found the runners to be lovely so hopefully they are all so focused on their run that they're not even looking at you!

Hi... Welcome back :)

You will reach the 30 minutes this time.. you have got all of us running with you :)

Tips..? Well...really slow and steady... everyone will tell you that. Also.. forget distance and speed. The aim is, as you know, to get you to those thirty minute runs.. injury free and having had a great time on your journey! ( No need to worry about making 5K..loads of folk don't, and still have not, and really don't want to :))

Also, forget the idea of anyone looking at you...usually folks are too busy with their own lives to bother.. and, if they do, they are either really impressed, jealous because it isn't them and if anyone does make a silly remark.. well it is because they are..silly!:)

So, here you are... keep posting and we will support you all the way to the Graduation podium...

Good Luck :)

Welcome!

To business: have you started your runs yet? If so brilliant, keep going but slow and steady. If not: decide the day (today???) time and route, clothes, shoes etc for your first run of tne programme, and go for it!

You can do it if we have managed to. Post regularly and read here often. There is lots of expertise, encouragement and support from forum members that will help keep you motivated.

Good luck😀👍🏼💪🏻
