hi

just had a good look at week 4 and it seems quite a big jump up from week 3

then looking on line there are a few versions of week 5 and 6 then week 7/8 are all running

this must be where the pain begins

Yes, you are coming up to the real "meat and potatoes" of the program now. No pain though, you will have gained a lot more in terms of aerobic capacity in three short weeks than you realise. Slow and steady and I am sure you will be fine.

Try to focus on now, not next... the programme will take you where you want to be. Just keep it slow and steady:)

You have got the plan..

...so a quick look is fine..but don't dwell on how hard you think it might get. The pesky gremlins love to try to worry you :)

You will be ready for the runs as they come along...honestly. You are doing just fine....Look how far you have come already :)

The plan is well designed to take you step by step. It all looks impossible if you look too far ahead, but day by day, week by week you gain strength and stamina.

You'll be fine, honest. I'm on week 5 and just taking it a run at a time, and I'm amazed at how I'm managing, after struggling to run 60 seconds in week one! As everyone says, slow and steady is the way.

cheers guys for the replies and the encouragement will keep you informed

i suppose to be honest its not that big a leap from 10 to 16 mins as i usually jog/run for 2/3 mins during the cool down just to see if i can as normally after the cool down still have a 5/10 min walk home

just have to decide whether to do my usual every other day or to take a 2 day rest

thanks again to all who have replied

hi

i found week 3 run 1 the hardest as like many others will tell you 3 mins seems like an eternity

and with no idea in the 3 min run where you are time wise to me it made it even harder

so i down loaded a timer that i set to the times of the run/walk so i have a visual on how long i have left in each run

i works for me some others donnt like the idea but each to his own

Not what you're looking for?
