No NOT first in a race! But the first time I have gone for a run abroad and the first time I have posted a photo with stats (and even the right way up!).
We are in Tenerife, staying at a lovely hotel near the National Park - very spoilt I woke early one morning and just felt like a little run before breakfast. It was sunny, bright although a bit cold, but I soon warmed up. I jogged down into the village past traditional Spanish buildings, white with terracotta tiles and a large church. Locals were walking to school and work, little shops were already open for business. It is only a small village so soon I was at the main road leading down to the coastal resorts. I now faced the very slow plod back up the hill via a slightly different route. I even jogged up some steep steps and finally, with a couple of walk breaks, got back to the hotel.
I discovered how to save a photo with the stats on Runkeeper so showing off my IT skills by posting this photo (stats are not very good but it was STEEP!). So good to run somewhere different Happy running everyone

IT geek......not sure that I fit into that category, but pleased with my discovery (I always wondered how others posted their stats!). Hope things are well with you Floss.
Thank you Sandra, yes having a great time doing lots of walking. Tenerife has a very good trail network including high mountain treks. This running lark is really helping to keep me fit
Yes, it is amazing how I look at trails when we are visiting places or on holiday and think 'Mmm nice place for a run'. Before couch25k I wouldn't have thought about running trails!
Well done! I love running in different places, especially on holiday - am in Malta for the weekend and did a very hilly 20 min run this morning. Really don't like hills but couldn't find a flat route! Enjoy your holiday x
oh well done for tackling some hills.....a wise person on this forum says that hills are our friends but sometimes I am not so sure! is it you that says that Oldfloss ?
Yes, the National Park in Tenerife is a World heritage site and a beautiful place. A lot of effort has been put into building trails and so it is great for hiking.
