W8R3 I can do it!

On Monday I had a great run, but I couldn't say the same about Wednesday's and today's, I am back to the usual 20 minutes of hell after the first 8 minutes of "I think I can manage". But I can see the end of the programme in the horizon and I couldn't be more excited! I already downloaded the C25K+ podcasts to continue my journey, I might be able to run for 30 minutes, but I am far from running 5K. Today, as it was the last run of week 8 and by the end of it I wasn't feeling extremely exhausted I decided to keep running for an extra 2 minutes and finally hit 30. It felt great, but by the end I had done 3.7K so, still a lot to work on!

Don't be in a hurry! Keep going nice and steady. You'll be fine if you take care. C25k + podcasts are great! Run them til you have them off pat. They are a bit strange but they do challenge your legs as they are all speeds and tempo's. Fun though.

Yes you will do it. You're nearly there. Don't worry about the 5K as most people don't get to 5K at the end of the programme. It'll give you a good goal after you graduate 😊

Well done you are nearly there - so exciting isn't it? From what I have read on here, the majority graduate at under 5k in 30 minutes. But "couch to somewhere between 3.5-5k" isn't so catchy! Just concentrate on running for 30 minutes and you will find that each time you will increase your distance. Good luck! 😁
