Sorry folks! ... went to the gym

Apologies to everyone - despite all the encouragement from my virtual friends here, I simply couldn't face a run today. So as I also felt I'd nonetheless got to exercise I went to the gym instead. I haven't given up C25K, I just need to get my mind back in gear and might yet even give my W6R3 a go tomorrow.

Come on David, you can so do this. You are two thirds through the programme so it is all now more of a pyscological challenge than anything else.

Give yourself an extra day off maybe, choose a lovely route, tell yourself you are definitely going to do it, and enjoy. You have already done so well please don't give up on yourself now x

Have a read of all of the reports on your runs that you've posted. These posts have inspired others, so why shouldn't they re-inspire you! Come on davidhwynn you've got this...xx

If you can't face run 3 do the second one again, and again, until you are so bored you just have to move on! If you haven't got your head in the right place at the moment just back off and go back a bit. You will see how far you've come. We all know you can do this, you know it aswell, you've just suddenly got cold feet. But they will get warm again.

warm feet would be nice ... I'm going to keep trying ... had a few bad days, not just C25K, that's how I am sometimes. To let everyone know, don't panic about me, I haven't given up and if I have to keep repeating runs then I will. I love this forum and just wish I could get similar support elsewhere. Thanks.

You'll get there David. There's no pressure. And there's nothing wrong with a few days rest. Sometimes it's our heads that need to be in the right place rather than our bodies. It's your journey and you'll know when you're 'right'. Don't think you can't do it though... you can. It's when, not if. We're all with you. ALL the way ☺

Thanks! I'm still determined to get to the end, just that today wasn't my day to do it.

You can do this. Go back and re-read your posts from before W5R3, and you nailed that. Having said that, don't put undue pressure on yourself and stress about it, this is supposed to be fun as well. You've come so far on this journey and graduation really is close now.

As for me, my foot is still a bit sore, but hoping to get back to running in the next couple of weeks.

Good luck x

Really hope you do get back on track with the running: I guess it's been getting to you that you haven't been able to do it. I'm going out into the local park in a little while, I don't like the sound of the wind but at least it's not raining. I really need to get back out and do another run before I convince myself that I can't/won't do it any more. That "fun" thing has gone at the moment for me - I need to try to get it back!

Go for it.

I'm really keen to to get back into running. I try to do the same time on the cross trainer instead, but much prefer running. Keen to get outside now the evenings are getting lighter too.

It's very windy here. Just ripped the car door out of my hand when I opened it!

not sure I want to know how strong the wind is - too much information, as they seem to say today. Have a great day! x
