Who is Laura?

Hi all, I use the couch to 5k app which I downloaded around October last year. I have noticed most post talk about Laura and have mentioned also about the music not being too good? My coach is Sarah Millican 😊 but I don't think I have music as an option on my app?

Laura is the lovely lady who narrates the c25k podcasts.

It used to be Laura on the app as well but they switched over to Ms. Millican a while back.

Aha I realise now it's a different app, mine is the bbc one, I think the training session are the same and the main difference is that mine has no music in between instructions/trainer's comments. I run in the countryside mainly so it's quine nice to just enjoy the sounds around, ...might try the individual podcasts occasionally though

I use that app and it uses the music app I have on my phone, muting the music when Sarah or the others are talking.

Yes I think that is an option, I will stick with it after all it is keeping me running and I find quite funny when Sara M says "well done flower" at the end of the session 😊

Hi, just so you know, I used the app and had Sarah Millican as my coach and like you was very confused as to who Laura was who everyone here was talking about. Anyhow, if you go to the NHS website and download the weekly 'podcasts' instead you will get Laura and the music too.

I enjoyed listening to Sarah, I've a lovely friend from the northeast and she reminded me of her, but found as I got further into the program the music seemed to help with the longer run sessions. ☺

Thanks for your advice Giddyaunts and I see your point because I have just finished W5 R3 and for me this is getting tricky now so I think music might be useful to keep going. I am glad I know about it now 😊

Yes, I'd recommend getting acquainted with Laura by using the podcasts for at least a couple of runs (you can always switch it up). You really get attached to her and when she congratulates you at times it's like a favourite teacher telling you that you've done well!
