I see people saying listen to Laura.
On my app I can only get jo whiley or Sarah millican? Also I haven't found out how to play their music so I play my own. Silly question I know π

Lovely Laura is the voice on the NHS Choices c25k podcasts. She used to be on the app too but that's been discontinued (or should I say superceded) She's full of great advice and has the cheesiest taste in music, but it's perfect to learn to run too. Download the podcasts and get acquainted, you won't regret it
Hi Jay
Laura is on the NHS podcasts and not on the app anymore . There is an option to play your own music ( I think) but not 100% sure .
Laura does have at first hearing a very dubious taste in music, but much to my surprise I learnt to enjoy it . Ha ha !
I must be a bit weird , listening to what sounded like a load Russian Cossacks chanting and then someone sounding like they were playing a hedge strimmer . Sorry, hope I'm not putting you off , it does grow on you in the end ! xxx
You need Laura... you will learn to love Laura... she will get you through this.. even with strange music... which I actually did not mind.. weirdly...!
You will learn to embrace the podcasts and move forward to graduation with a new understanding of the word... cheesy... ?
it is really fun... and it will get you through!
Laura has a great and encouraging voice. OK the music is 'interesting' but I don't think I would have completed the programme without her encouragement and of course that of the lovely people on this forum.
Thanks all. I'm intrigued now and am going off to look for laura and her playlist π
For all that I can't bear most of Laura's music, the bit I love is for the last 90 second walk before the final run in Week 4. It sounds a bit like Chariots of Fire/London Marathon and really psyched me up to do that very last 5 minutes. I probably looked a bit slo-mo as well, but it all adds to the effect. On the other hand, what on earth is a song with the words "I got both feet on the ground" doing in a running programme? If you're doing that, you're walking!
no not a silly question I am having the same problems and would really like the answers.
