I am so excited right now. For a while I have been aware our little family is missing something and have been working with HealthUnlocked towards resolving it.
HealthUnlocked have very kindly agreed to allow us our new forum to give us the best approach to providing a complete package.
For a while now I have been concerned about members who would like to get their fitness levels up a bit before starting the running app. Also I have been very worried that just a small percentage (about 1% ) who are told that due to previous circumstances that they cannot run and I have always felt that we just leave them hanging after building them up.
Our new forum is called Walking for Health and it will incorporate all forms of walking. I know a lot of our members go on lovely walks on their non running days and this will be a great place to share these walks. I know we have a lot of dog walkers as well. If your on the IC you can be part of the walking for health forum as you get back to running again.
I hope you will join me in this new forum as I am expecting it to be a great addition to our exercise programs.
I think this is a great idea... not least because I'd stumbled upon an interesting Couch to 5K (and it will please the pedantic!) walking programme because somewhere I went on holiday several years ago keeps sending me emails and really thought it needed sharing. I was umming and ahhing about posting it here because, due to my own experience, I feel very strongly about the merits of just getting stuck into the NHS C25K, but Realfoodieclub 's case is solid.
I've posted it on the new forum if anyone wants a look. A little teaser for you...
Brilliant! I love walking and have done a number of sponsored walking half marathons and a 25km one too - much further than my current running distances!!
