Wow tonight's run was a hard one. Set off ok but about 1k in my thighs were like ten tonne weights. I still did my 5k route but ended up having a few short walks along the way. Very disappointed by their behaviour tonight the both of them let me down π‘

Maybe they were cold..π Many of us struggling with odd aches, pains, breathing etc with the chilly weather...with me..it is the damp weather that strikes me ! (Old bones you know..)
But...you were out there..and you ran..well done!
It happens sometimes, don't let it get you down, just approach the next run with a fresh start!
Made me laugh! We've all been there. The next one'll be better (that's usually how it is for me); Oldfloss was right - at least you got out there and ran. My theory for winter is that any run is better than no run...
At least you got out there and ran - I think we have all had hard run's this week - must be the after Christmas/New Year/getting back into routines/cold weather gremlins!!!
I'll keep going, I love it. It could be anything. I've been under the weather for a couple of weeks. As I've been off work over Xmas I've done day runs on flat so this is the first hilly street night run for a couple weeks, I've been dashing about all day at work in heeled boots and not had much to eat over last 2 days. Or it was just one of those days. I'll be out again Saturday π
Don't be hard on yourself and try not to be too annoyed by it. Hopefully your next run will be a lot better. Make sure you warm up before and after your runs too. Perhaps you could run on the flat next time? Then build up to more hilly runs? One run is better than no run at all. ππ»ππ»ππππΌββοΈππ»ππΌββοΈππ»
.... but you got out there and you did it.... respect
You did it though. It's tough going this time of year - just have to do what you can and keep going.
