Help!
I struggled with calf pain when I first started running. I found I had to build my calf muscles up and did this by a combination of calf strengthening exercises and cross training. Doing a body pump class 2/3X per week at the gym has really improved my leg strength. Additionally take it very slow to allow your legs to adjust to an activity they just arent used to. Good luck.
Lots of us had never run in our lives before C25k. As newbies fresh off the couch our bodies are unaccustomed to exercise and are bound to protest, so we get niggles. As our feet, legs, core and upper bodies get stronger the more we run then we get fitter and our bodies used to the exertions.
Til then we get niggles. Some are worse than others. Some we can run off. Have a few days off and see how it goes. Always run nice and slowly. C25k is just about finishing the sessions so no need for speed
I think it's a bit early to be talking about it being caused by foot landing. I'm no doctor though. Just take it easy and see how it is in a few days time
I would recommend strength and flex exercises on running rest days, this really helped me. Maybe try slowing right down on the run too, that might help, let us know how it goes
