A lovely evening for a run, so I turned out just before nine in lined walking trousers and tried a different route - up to one road, getting the uphill stretch in on the warm-up walk, then along past the ready-to-be-lit-up Christmas House (they raise money for the local Air Ambulance, the lights are up ready but not on yet!), through town, and then back home. Distance isn't as much as the towpath the other day, but I felt sufficiently good to go a little faster for the last two minutes which gives me confidence for Week 9.
One thing about running at night will soon be the added interest of Christmas Light spotting - I can see me going past that particular house more often, and it will give me something else to think about which now is going to be needed. There's already one set to see - yes, our neighbours have already got their tree up, it's been there for more than a week already!
