Handy tip

Just thought I would share this handy tip I have just discovered having got back from my morning run ( never thought I be abke to say that !! ) .. anyway, I digress .. so, handy tip for all you runners .. if your mate says to you " fancy coming to a free Champagne & Canapes evening at the local bistro " if you are going to say yes ( who wouldn't ) then try to ensure that you run the day BEFORE you go out .. not the day after !!! If you do go running the morning after, no amount of glorious morning sunshine, crisp leaves in every shade of red you can imagine, the lightest mist across virgin fields or any songbirds tweeting their morning hello will make you think multiple glasses of champagne, more Canapes than one person should reasonably be able to eat & then several pints of craft ale will NOT, I repeat NOT make you run any faster !! Just putting that out there for you now that party season is closing in on us all :) Don't forget to put your clocks back this weekend !

Hehe, I agree. I'm terrible I run on the days when I have a party, probably better than the day after but I'm tired on the night with a clearer concious 😀.

That's brilliant... in the past I have been known to get PB's at Parkrun breathing alcohol fumes from the night before... however you get a gold star for going out there feeling that rough!!!

I'll take your advice on board in case we ever have a local bistro that does free champagne and canapé nights.

Love it.... absolutely love it... brave chap... you were out there though! I have a weakness for champagne... strictly off limits before a run though!

Sound advice - I can barely lift my head from the pillow after a night like that 😀
