Slinky's out for a walk..

Was out walking with slinky today, did just under 2km, and ended up at the shops.she still feels the affects of the anaesthetic, feeling slightly light headed still at time's and slight pain at wound when she coughs, but it's still only just over a week since the op, and is doing so well, she saw our own doctor yesterday to get some stitches out, and he didn't realise she'd already had the operation..so will try and keep her walking as often as I can, and she continues to feel she want's to, but I think she'll only keep improving, so all looking positive for my slinky!😊

Good news. To walk that distance suggests she is indeed making great progress. x

Great news, davelinks . Hope Slinky continues to make a good recovery and will be running again. But don't let her overdo it, slow and steady, that's the way. The anaesthetic can really take it out of you. I felt pretty bad for quite some time after my op 3 years ago. :)

Yes, can take weeks to get it out of the system, then there's the blood loss and the cell's that have to be built up again, I saw the blood that drained from her chest before the bleeding stopped.. almost an arm full!

So good to hear she's out and about, that must be a great relief to both of you. Slow and steady does it.

Great news Dave. You know she's getting better when she wants to walk to the shops!

All the best to you both.

Poor Slinky must be feeling very wiped out, I'm amazed she can walk that far already! Make sure she rests plenty, I prescribe some good films and books too! Great progress though, must be the excellent home care she is receiving... x
