I am dreading this run, my breathing is a struggle at 2 mins still so the thought of 3 minutes is feeling slightly out of my reach :(

A lot of what defeats us is all in our heads- thinking we can't do something. I'm sure you can do it and will be very proud of yourself afterwards. :-)

Just back off on you effort slightly. The aim is to be able to hold a short conversation. Try talking to yourself or with a running partner with phrases like "how are you today?" etc without losing control of your breathing.

Keep at it you'll get there

I struggled with my breathing in the first few weeks, but trust the program! It really is well designed to gradually improve your fitness a bit at a time.

As others have mentioned, just slow it down slightly. When I run up the hill that leads away from my house I sometimes feel I am going comically slowly but it enables me to save some energy and complete the whole session.

You can do it!

Slowly, slowly. Be Zen about it and you'll crack it. Don't talk yourself out of it. You can do this, you really can!

We'll be here when you get back so you can tell us how it went. Have fun!
