... but the energy levels have properly dropped. Felt fine post run yesterday, out yesterday afternoon not too far from home,by the time I ate I started to feel properly drowsy and fell alsleep for a few hours around 6.30pm - a further 10 hours overnight and feel completely out of it today. Wonder if it's connected to the run yesterday - I did all the right things, stretched beforehand and after, hydrated properly,so not sure what happened. It's like the day after I get back from a meeting on campus - feel properly out of it,if that makes sense (and I'm back there next week so logistics for the week 5 runs will be tricky if I'm ready).
Sounds like you may be going down with a bug or something . Have a couple of rest days , and see how you feel. Theres no pressure to complete this in 9 weeks, so please don't worry.
Are you eating well Mark? A healthy diet goes without saying if you have a busy student life AND doing exercise, walking to uni etc .
You had a long kip there so should be up for it. Don't talk yourself out of it ☺
I'm only on campus once a month - rest is done from home but I know that this is how I feel when I get back and it usually takes me a few days to recover given the long distances to travel and everything). Anyhow, getting back to topic! I'm cutting down on the amount I'm eating, what I'm eating and cutting some foods out now so hoping combined,I'll see the benefits of it all soon. I do get out for short walks around campus when I'm not in a meeting there which always helps.
One down side is a complete mental block - does happen more often than not with me but the mood has started to dip now too I think Week 4 and the whole thing about running for a total of 16 minutes is really starting to scare me a bit.
