If it is sprained, then do not run.. RICE treatment until it is healed. better to be on the IC for a short while , than for a very long time. Lots of us have had set backs, but better to be safe than sorry.
You have clearly got the enthusiasm and that is not going to go... be sensible
This Couch to 5K has been the first thing that I've felt dedicated to, in a long time. Waiting to re-start is going to be difficult. Grr. I'll wait. But productively.
Thank you, everyone. I think I'll take this rest-time to learn what I don't know (basically anything and everything) about running, eating healthier, etc.
I think that will lessen the frustration of having to rest.
You can't run on a sprained ankle. Rest it, elevate it, play ice over it as often as poss. Ice is magic for sprains and inflammation. Do some other exercise with your arms or upper body instead
You can read about running, google running gear, do some healthy recipes while you recover. C25k will still be there when you get back on your foot
I fell down my new, uncarpeted stairs and skinned my back during c25k. Frustrating but nothing you can do but hope you get better quick 😊
I've been reading a lot, lately. There's still some pain, but I think another 2 days of rest and the pain will have gone away. Luckily, that's about the same amount of time until these weather-storms pass my area.
A friend of mine called me pragmatic, because ... "By the time this stops hurting, the (weather) storms will have passed. So, I'm not actually missing much opportunity, at the moment."
