Hi, I am new to couch to 5k, my friend introduced me to it. I am 70 and used to run, very slowly, but I stopped 5 years ago. Decided I really missed it, so hence the couch to 5k.

Hi Cathy, welcome to this forum - perhaps the friendliest place on the internet. Full of warmhearted and supportive people who are always willing to share experiences and advice on starting to run. The C25K programme is wonderful. I am sure you are going to enjoy it. Keep posting as you move forward.

Welcome Cathy - we don't need to extol the virtues of running as you know that already! All the best with your return. Let us know how it goes.

Hi you...

Well done for getting here.. this is, as you will quickly realise a great place to be. You will make old and new friends... there will always be support and encouragement, but never a harsh word or unkindness.

Our lovely PippiRuns is right..warmhearted and friendly..that sums it up! I have friends I made on here over a year ago, when I started... and the help they gave and continue to give me, is priceless...:)

Ullyrunner will advise you on winter wear... (my neck warmer Ully :)), one of our administrators. poppypug will be here to welcome you soon too! Oh, so many faceless friends, with all kinds of tips and suggestions... and so much to learn on your journey. Your journey, your way and in your own time.

PS

One thing you will hear, over and over is, take it slow and steady! It is the mantra and it works...I should know...the original Grey Snail :)

Post your progress as and when you can :)
